April Fool's!!

So this is what I saw when I looked out the front door this morning.

Fun fun fun.....

And this is what I saw when I looked out my back door

double whammy!!!

(In case you can't see clearly in the picture - a rather large tree has fallen across our backyard.)

On a positive note now we don't have to worry about the tree falling on the kids when they play in the back yard. That was from Matt. I didn't know we were worried about the tree falling on the kids.

Along with I'm sure most of the people in the Mid-Atlantic region, I am pretty desperate for Spring. We've had some glimpses - a few days in the 70's - only to be replaced by two weeks of 40's and 50's all topped off by a rain/snow storm! Perhaps it's time I watch An Inconvenient Truth?

On a side note- Elizabeth's blog (from A Groove Slightly Tranformed) has disappeared! Beth - if you check in here ever, just wanted to know that you're alright.

Megs,
I know that it's so pointless to complain about the weather, but i am so miserable with this!! i want to be on the porch and in the garden and in shorts!! and i'll be so sad if all my flowers don't make it. i think it will start looking up later this week, finally!!

megan,

you need to know that i totally jealous. i was praying that a tree would fall in our yard, so i could harvest it for firewood for next winter. but alas, no falling trees. so, just so you know, i am coveting your backyard situation.

Greg - Matt said to come on down and you can harvest our tree!
Beth -good to hear from you - I saw the message on your blog so I won't worry!:)
Erin - this really is hurting our growing season - I am anxious to plant tomatoes and herbs.
Matthew aka Chrissie - at first I was feeling so happy to think that my brother would read my blog but then I realized it had to be you - can't picture matt saying "yuck, yuck, yuck"!

i'm so sad to have missed this weather! hehe... NOT. it was difficult though, coming back to weather in the 70's when we had been in 80+ degree weather...so, that was a real struggle... :)

i'm sure jon will be over to help do whatever with that tree!

good to see you again!! missed you too!
