Megan, that is a great Family picture. Nice to see it. I am sorry to disappoint you but I didn't decorate a thing this year. I was out of town for almost half the time between Thanksgiving and Christmas and just today I got caught up on opening real mail! Deep sigh. I think I am ready for Christmas - tomorrow will be busy preparing. I hope you have a great time celebrating.
I'm so sorry I didn't participate in the Christmas excitement this year...but honestly we didn't do enough to make me feel like I could really contribute! I should have sent pictures of my parents' house...much more homey and festive than our place!!! I thoroughly enjoyed taking advantage of touring everyone else's home, though, so THANK YOU for organizing!!
I absolutely love the family picture...this blog phenomenon is so fantastic for keeping in touch and reuniting with old friends. Here's hoping 2008 will be the best year yet for friendships and relationships!
Waitress - really liked The Kingdom really liked Hairspray got bored, fast forwarded alot Firefly - the series - loving it! Once - Modern day musical set in Dublin - a must for a music lover 3:10 to Yuma - Christian Bale and Russell Crowe in a remake Western. good acting, lots of action! Enchanted - very cute and fun- especially since i've been watching so many old Disney classics lately. Stardust - Hard to describe, campy, reminds you of The Princess Bride, a bit evil towards the end, definitely had laugh out loud moments! Serenity - I loved it because I loved Firefly. If you like Joss Whedon, you should watch Firefly, then watch Serenity Rescue Dawn - I always like watching Christian Bale (honestly b/c I think he is a great actor). Losely based on a true story of POW escape. Amazing Grace - Very inspring movie about faith in action. Based on Wilbur Willberforce's fight to end slave trade in Great Britain. Across the Universe - Definitely for Beatles' fans. There was tons of "hidden" meaning to almost everything that I didn't get until later, but it was fun hearing all the songs. Margot at the Wedding - interesting Gone Baby Gone - Very gritty, good acting, intense Michael Clayton Intense legal thriller but not an action film. A few parts puzzled me and made it not as good (unless someone explains it to me). Into the Wild - Hard movie for me to watch b/c I read the book and knew what was coming, but it was very moving and very well done. Freaks and Geeks -the series - you shouldn't miss this - produced by Judd Apatow and has a lot of familar faces. Death at a Funeral - very funny, British humor - wasn't expecting to like it but I really did. Becoming Jane - I <3 this movie! Definitely for the romantics or fans of Jane Austen... Dan in Real Life - I loved Steve Carrell in this role and I really enjoyed the movie Juno - Very funny but also sweet and heart wrenching at times. So many good lines, I wish I could remember them all. August Rush - sweet but kind of cheesy There Will Be Blood -Hmmm...what can I say...I love Daniel Day Lewis - there is no denying he is an amazing actor. The movie as a whole wasn't so amazing. Atonement - beautifully shot and acted 27 Dresses - very cute and fun - a good movie to watch with your girl friends.
